Main Text: Mark 10:28-30

28 Peter tried another angle: “We left everything and followed you.”
29-31 Jesus said, “Mark my words, no one who sacrifices house, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, land—whatever—because of me and the Message will lose out. They’ll get it all back, but multiplied many times in homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land—but also in troubles. And then the bonus of eternal life! This is once again the Great Reversal: Many who are first will end up last, and the last first.” (MSG)
"Those of you who have been good to people, God will open a book of remembrance on your behalf" - Pastor Francis Tekobo

Topic: Divine Compensation

Ministering Pastor (Mr.) Francis Tekobo

What is Divine Compensation?

When you give your life to Jesus, you begin to get compensated, divinely, as this is your entitlement.

Text: Esther 6:1-4 — The labor was not rewarded until God decided to do something.

6 1-2 That night the king couldn’t sleep. He ordered the record book, the day-by-day journal of events, to be brought and read to him. They came across the story there about the time that Mordecai had exposed the plot of Bigthana and Teresh—the two royal eunuchs who guarded the entrance and who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.
3 The king asked, “What great honor was given to Mordecai for this?”
“Nothing,” replied the king’s servants who were in attendance. “Nothing has been done for him.”
4 The king said, “Is there anybody out in the court?”
Now Haman had just come into the outer court of the king’s palace to talk to the king about hanging Mordecai on the gallows he had built for him. (MSG)

What are the benefits of Divine Compensation?

  • It is God making up for your past labor

  • It is uncommon heavenly reward that you have given to God

  • The Almighty God overpaying you for what you have done in the past

  • God paying you for the labor of love you have rendered

  • Heaven coming to reward you for the activities you have done

Scripture: Genesis 13:14-18

14-17 After Lot separated from him, God said to Abram, “Open your eyes, look around. Look north, south, east, and west. Everything you see, the whole land spread out before you, I will give to you and your children forever. I’ll make your descendants like dust—counting your descendants will be as impossible as counting the dust of the Earth. So—on your feet, get moving! Walk through the country, its length and breadth; I’m giving it all to you.”
18 Abram moved his tent. He went and settled by the Oaks of Mamre in Hebron. There he built an altar to God. (MSG)

Take Home Notes

  • God sees our sacrifices, time, money and investments we have made to ensure that the services of God are paid Divine compensation makes you win any battle you have in life and destroys the enemy

  • It also removes sweat, struggles and bondages that are making you regress

  • It brings you out of the pit shame and reproach

  • Everything that you have done to advance the Kingdom of God, He will compensate you.

  • When you complain about what God has not done, you are being ungrateful. The more you complain, the further He moves away from you. (Numbers 11:1 / Psalms 66:12)

  • Thanksgiving is giving God credit for the things He has done in your life and my life.

  • Thanksgiving is honoring God bringing the heart of abundance.

  • Thanksgiving opens doors to more miracles and makes things happen that have not been possible.
